The Weekender - Vol. 1

June 27, 2015

Things are currently in full on crazy mode in our house right now.  We're trying to tie up all the loose ends, see as many friends and family as we can, and keep our sanity.  I don't think it's hit me that in less than a week we will be saying goodbye to Texas and hitting the road to Boston.

Fourth of July Style

June 23, 2015

Ray-Ban Sunnies // Tory Burch Scarf // Lobster Sweater // Monogram Necklace
Bourbon and Boweties Bracelet // Straw Hat // Bow Sandals //Monogram Bandeau
Key Fob // Chino Shorts // Earrings // American Flag Tote

I'm loving all the red white and blue that retailers have right now for the Fourth of July.  I can't wait until my clothes are actually all in one closet and I can add some of these gorgeous navy & red pieces!  The movers are coming today to pack up all our stuff, so my outfit choices will be really limited for a while.  Maybe that will give me the perfect excuse to pick up some stuff for the Fourth of July!

Happy National Wear your Lilly Day!

June 21, 2015
Phillip Lim for Target Purse (old), similar, similar  // Shoes (old), similar, similar
Caslon dress // Lip Color - Fuchsia Orchestra // Bracelets

Seriously, where are the days going?  I swear it was Christmas just the other day. As our time in Houston is coming to a close, we're trying to keep our sanity and spend as much time as possible with our family.  This year, it just so happens that National wear your Lilly Day and Father's Day fall on the same day.  That just means we have the perfect excuse to dress up in our favorite Lilly print!  I'll be wearing one of the Lilly for Target maxi dresses in the "Nosie Posey".  Don't worry - I'll be doing a post on how I styled it!

Pure Barre Love

June 20, 2015

I am a Pure Barre addict.  There, I said it.  And it only took me one class to become completely hooked. After months of researching (literally), I decided to try my first class this past February.  I was looking for something I could do consistently and that I would not get bored with.  It's now June and I'm still going strong!

Father's Day

June 19, 2015

With Father's day coming up this weekend, I thought I would share one of my favorite recipes for French Silk Pie that I'll be making to bring to all our little get togethers.  We're keeping everything pretty low key this Father's Day, and I really wouldn't have it any other way.

Boston Adventures

June 17, 2015

Madewell Tote // Monogram Necklace  // Flats (Similar)
Sweater (Similar) // Pants (Similar)

We could not have asked for better weather while we were visiting Boston this past weekend.  There was no humidity, a nice breeze, and it actually got cool at night.  I will definitely miss a lot of things about Texas, but the weather will not be one of them!

How to: Pack a Weekend in a Carry-On

June 12, 2015

With our upcoming trip to Boston this weekend, I thought I would share how I'm planning to pack everything I'll need into my carry-on.  This may seem like an easy task, but I'm the girl who had a "caution when lifting" tag stuck to her bag by the airport employees on our last trip to Florida.  I like to think I can be low maintenance when I travel, but in reality I'm the girl who packs everything but the kitchen sink.

Boston, Here We Come!

June 10, 2015

I could not think of a more fitting first post than one telling y’all where we are headed next!  A little over a week ago, my husband, Kyle, and I found out that we were moving to Boston, Massachusetts.  My emotions are of course mixed.  It's hard to not feel torn when you’re moving out of not just the city you grew up in, but state as well.  Practically all of our family lives somewhere in Texas, with most living in the Houston area.  I’ll be sad to leave them to take on this new adventure, but I’m also very excited to start a new chapter in our lives.
