Fall is definitely approaching quickly - New York Fashion week is currently going on, anyone and everyone who sells coffee released their pumpkin spice lattes this past week and stores are flooded with Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations. The weather in Chicago has also started to shift to cooler temps (sorry, Texas friends!) which means I'll soon be pulling out all our fall and winter clothes and putting away the summer dresses, shorts and lightweight tops.
But until then, I'm wearing all my dresses and open toed shoes and enjoying the fact that I can walk outside in them without worrying about sweating and my hair instantly getting frizzy! I wore this dress a few weekends ago to celebrate some birthdays with our family while we were in Texas. Blue and white has always been one of my favorite color combinations and the mixed geometric patterns are make the simple stripes of the dress a little more interesting!
The sizing on this dress is meant to be pretty flowy, but I found it to fit true to size. If you're taller than about 5'6", which is how tall I am, this dress might be a little short on you as it is on the shorter side. I also found it to be a little sheer so I chose to wear a slip underneath which made me feel a bit more comfortable! I picked up this slip from Target before our trip and it has to be one of the best ones I've tried on. It's super lightweight and the neckline on it is just right for a lot of different tops!
I hope your week is off to a great start!
xoxo,
Kathryn
