This past weekend I started doing some serious Pinterest research for a potential new haircut. I’ve had long hair for most of my life with the only exceptions being when I was bald for two years after I was born and my freshman year of college when I spontaneously decided to chop all my hair off. The baldness was easily fixed with a bow taped to my hair by my Mamaw, but the short haircut made me ugly cry for months. #dramatic Ever since then, my family has dissuaded me from even starting to think about cutting my hair again, but lately I can’t help but have an itch to change things up!
My mind isn’t made up one way or another and I’m sure I’ll
be hearing arguments from both sides, but the style I’ve been obsessing over
lately is the “lob”. My hair is
naturally wavy and this style just seems like it would be super low maintenance
for that hair type! If any of you have
gone from super long hair to a shorter cut, I’d love to hear about it!
So, onto this little number that Kyle likes to call my
“rocker” look. I almost died laughing
when he said that, but I guess for me, this is about as close to that as I’ll
get! In general, I don’t consider my
style very “edgy” but when I found this pair of black destroyed skinny denim, I
couldn’t help myself! I balanced out the
dark denim and purse with a lighter colored faux leather jacket and shirt,
which I think keeps this look pretty neutral.
You could definitely pair it with all black as well for an even edgier
outfit.
I'm loving little jackets for spring right now which is something totally new for me. In Texas, there is no need for jackets once spring hits, but here in Boston, they're practically a necessity! Right now my favorite are this little faux leather one and my good old denim jacket. They go with just about anything I decide to wear and are the perfect weight to keep me warm while outside and not too hot once I walk into a building!

I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!
