One of my goals this past fall was to try another spin class. After trying a class at a small fitness studio and having a bad experience, I was really hesitant to try another one. I kept putting off signing up at another studio because I thought that they would all be pretty similar. Finally last week I talked myself into signing up for a class and I cannot believe the world of a difference between my last experience and this one. The people really do make a difference!
I don’t want to go too nuts and jinx how much I like this
new workout, but I had to let y’all know that I finally crossed off one of my
fall goals. Timelines for goals can be
great, but don’t let an expiration date keep you from doing something you want
to accomplish! If any of you have been
taking spin for a while, I’m open to any and all tips/suggestions!
Okay, enough about spin.
Let’s chat about this little number that is probably one of my favorite
outfits I’ve ever shot for the blog. I’m
starting to realize that all my favorite outfits are comprised of the
classics. There’s something about them
that just makes me feel so pulled together.
And the best part about adding classics to your wardrobe? They’ll never go out of style.
Most classics tend to be investment pieces, but I promise
you will get your money’s worth. I’ve
had every piece of this outfit, besides the vest (we’ll get there in a second)
for at least two years. And the Tory
Burch flats? I’ve had those for at
least five. My cost per wear has got to
be into the pennies on those bad boys.
And if you need any more convincing to splurge on your classics,
remember the saying, “buy the best and you’ll only cry once”.
When I saw this vest a few weeks ago, I knew it would be a
great addition to my wardrobe even though I told myself I was not going to buy
anymore vests. I didn’t have anything
like it and I knew it had the potential to work with a lot of different pieces.
It is a great camel color and feels like
wool so it looks a lot more expensive than it really is. Speaking of the cost – it’s under $25. It doesn’t get any better than finding pieces
that look a lot more expensive than they are!
So, if you learn anything from this post, let it be to
invest in the classics, make sure your riskier purchases are lower in price,
and to not let an expired time frame keep you from achieving a goal!
XO,
Kathryn
