When I pulled this coat out of the closet to get it ready to shoot it almost looked like a white coat.  Thanks, Pecan.  Anyone with a dog who sheds will definitely understand what I'm talking about.  Lint rollers are our best friends and we've accepted the fact that we will have dog fur on us at all times no matter how hard we try to get it off.  I've seriously considered switching my wardrobe to mostly white, but there's something so chic about a black wrap coat that I just couldn't resist.

After we moved to Boston it took me forever to find a winter coat that I thought would be warm enough but also wouldn't make me look like the a giant poof ball.  I ended up with this one from L.L. Bean which has been fabulous so far, but I also knew I wanted something a little more stylish for running into town, meeting with friends, etc, and ended up finding this one during H&M's Black Friday sale.  I hadn't really shopped H&M too much before this past Black Friday, but their deals were just too good.  I couldn't find my exact coat online anymore, but I linked a similar one above and will link some other options below!  If you're unsure on a style, but want to try it out, I highly recommend their "conscious" line.  It's usually super similar to more expensive styles at a fraction of the price!

Once I bought this black coat, I knew I would eventually want some black riding boots to wear with it.  I ended up waiting until after Christmas and used some of my gift cards to purchase these from Sam Edelman and I could not be happier.  They're simple, classic and I know will be a part of my wardrobe for years to come.  They also come in extended calf, which is usually harder to find!

We're almost to Friday!  As much as I would say I'm more than ready for the weekend, we're supposed to be getting a ton of snow, so I don't know that I'm necessarily ready.  If you need me, I'll be stocking up on stuff to have a cozy weekend in!
