I have such a bad habit of finding tops I love and then wearing them on major repeat for weeks on end - which is why you've definitely seen this top on Instagram multiple times already. I love that it's long sleeve and lightweight, but has a fun little detail of chiffon trim at the bottom, which makes wearing all black a little more fun! I wore this exact outfit to celebrate an early Christmas with some of our family this past weekend when it was a little too warm to wear my sweaters or a fur vest. In case you couldn't tell, the Houston humidity is taking its toll on my hair - hello frizz!
I'm not a huge fan of having holiday specific clothing in my closet because you can generally only wear it for a few days and then it gets put away for a whole year. I do, however, exclude ugly Christmas sweaters from this rule. One should always have one of those on hand! In order to still seem festive without going over the top, I love to pick a scarf or pair of shoes in a pretty red, green, or plaid to top off a simple sweater and pants. I can usually get away with wearing these plaid shoes for the entire winter season, and love mixing it up with my leopard scarf or even a sparkly handbag for a more formal event.
I'll be spending this week relaxing and celebrating the season with all of our family, and I hope you're able to do the same!
