When I was in college someone told me that if you see something in your school's colors, buy it.  At the time, I didn't really understand why they were saying that considering just about everything in College Station comes in maroon, but now that I've graduated and moved to a different state, I totally get it.  It is so hard to figure out what to wear on game days as an adult.  You want to support your team, but you don't want to just throw on a jersey or t-shirt and gone are the days that game day dresses and boots are considered age appropriate.  Now, when I find cute pieces that come in maroon (amazingly a pretty popular color this fall), I scoop them up and don't second guess the purchase for a second!

One of my favorite ways to wear maroon without being over the top is these Pilcro chinos from Anthropologie.  They're super comfortable, true to size, and come in a ton of colors and now in different fabrics as well!  I actually own a few pairs of pants from Pilcro, and have yet to be disappointed with any of them.  They typically have a few colors and styles in the sale room at Anthro, and turn out to be a really good deal!

Another way I love to wear maroon on game days is to find cute accessories to top off an otherwise neutral outfit.  When I was in Texas a few weeks ago I got to stay in College Station on game day and had literally no idea what to wear.  It was still warm in Texas and I had already packed away all my summer clothes.  The only thing I had that was neutral and weather appropriate was one of my favorite chambray dresses, so I decided to top it off with a maroon hat & jewelry.  This is a great solution for people who have school colors that are a little harder to find, and when you can't find anything else, Kendra Scott has almost every color under the sun!

I hope y'all had a fabulous week and an even better weekend!  I'll be brunching, watching my Aggies & doing a little shopping, so be sure to keep up with me on Instagram!
