Talk to me a few years ago and I would have told you that I never mixed my prints. If I was wearing a print, I would always make sure to wear just one and the rest of my outfit would be neutral or solid fabrics.  While there's nothing wrong with styling outfits like this, and I definitely still do sometimes for certain events, my style is starting to evolve and become a little more adventurous.  Leopard is one of my favorite things on earth, I welcome sparkles into my closet with open arms, and one of my new favorite pair of shoes may or may not be plaid pumps.

When you first start to mix it up, you're probably going to feel a little ridiculous, which is why I recommend starting with something as simple as stripes and plaid like I did.  Fall is the perfect time to start mixing up your style because the season calls for layering, and layering makes mixing prints super easy!  So, now that you're ready to be a print mixing pro, I thought I would share my top tips with you!
  • Keep things in the same color family, or pick prints that have a similar color in common.
  • Make sure you have a neutral or solid somewhere in your outfit.
  • If you want to use an out of season print, like a floral, just make sure that you have something that is in season in the outfit as well
I can share tips & tricks with you all day long, but at the end of the day the most important thing is to have fun with your style!  When you're having fun, you're going to feel more confident, and confidence is definitely the best accessory you can rock.

xoxo,
Kitty
