This past weekend, Kyle and I were as spontaneous as I think we've ever been.  We had talked about going to Acadia National Park for a while, but didn't really know how to make it work with our schedules and the weather.  Our weather has been really unpredictable lately, but luckily when we checked the weather on Friday afternoon, Saturday was supposed to be perfect!  We had our trip planned and hotel booked in literally an hour.  And the best part? Pecan could tag along with us, and I'm so, so glad we took him, because I think he enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than we did!  The little guy was seriously as happy as I've ever seen him.

The drive to Maine itself was one of the most beautiful I've ever been on, with leaves in every color fall has to offer.  The colors and scenery got even better when we went to the park, where we decided to drive through the park on the 27 mile park loop.  The loop takes you to the most popular sites, which we decided was the best option because we were a little limited on time.

So, after this weekend I'm definitely in favor of more spontaneous road trips!  I bought Kyle a copy of New York Times: 36 Hours USA & Canada, Northeast so we can make the most of our time here in New England, and I can't wait for our next trip.  Stay tuned for our next adventure!

xoxo,
Kitty
