Date night for us usually consists of going out to eat and then a movie.  We have the best movie theatre near our apartment, hands down.  They have smaller screening rooms with automatic reclining leather chairs where you can pre-select your seats before you even buy tickets.  That’s probably my favorite part because I cannot stand sitting close to the screen – talk about a headache!  Oh, and another favorite (pre-whole 30) was definitely their self-serve ICEEs in rather large cups.  It’s honestly the next best thing to watching a movie from the comfort of your own home.  We’ve definitely become a little spoiled when it comes to watching movies, and this little theatre will be something I miss when we move in the future.

Even though our movie date nights no longer consist of ICEEs and snacks from the concession stand, I still love the excuse to get a little dressed up!  Vests have been a major go-to for me lately because they add a little warmth and interest to the long sleeve shirts and sweaters that the current weather demands.  This leopard one from Jess Lea Boutique is one of my absolute favorites because it’s longer than most vests, making it great to wear with leggings or even over a dress.  Not to mention it has pockets and is super soft unlike a lot of faux fur vests out there.  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the best part – it’s currently 50% off making it right around $40.  It’s hard to find good quality vests at that price point, so I would definitely snag this one while you can!

The next part of the equation for a great date night outfit is the purse.  During the week I normally carry pretty large bags because I’m toting lots of things to and from, so for date night I like to mix it up and carry a smaller cross body or clutch.  I stumbled upon this gem while browsing Nordstrom one day and almost died of shock.  It’s such a good dupe for the Chloe Drew bag, which is why I’m assuming it sold out almost immediately.  Even though it’s still sold out, I’ll link to the original page on Nordstrom’s website because sometimes when something is that popular, they’ll restock it.  I’ll also link some other great dupes I found while browsing!

This girl is definitely ready to break out the leopard vest for date night this weekend, but I guess I’ll just have to wait a few more days.  Apparently it’s only Wednesday.  Until then, I’d love to hear all your go-to date night ideas!

xoxo,

Kathryn
