This past weekend, Kyle and I started spring-cleaning by
purging our closet. When we moved from
Texas, I left behind my own walk in closet and now share a much, much smaller
one with Kyle, so keeping only the things I truly love is really important to
making our closet functional. While I do
love picking out fun and frivolous pieces as much as the next girl, the things
that survive one closet clean out after another are always my basics!
If you’ve been following the blog for any amount of time,
you know one of my absolute favorite basics is chambray. It’s versatile, can be worn year round and is
so effortless. Now that the weather is finally
getting warmer and were able to do things outside, I find myself reaching for
familiar pieces that I know I’ll be comfortable in.
When I find a company that makes great, affordable basics,
I’m usually hooked. Fat Face is a British based company
that focuses on making quality clothes at really great price points. Their most recent campaign, Washed in
Happiness, centers around new
ways to wear denim and definitely speaks my language! From skirts to dresses to button down shirts,
they’ve got something for everyone.
With a few trips already booked that take us to warmer
weather this summer, I picked out some pieces that would be great to pack. When traveling, I like having things that are easy to pack in a suitcase without wrinkling and these definitely fit the bill! Everything fits true to size and is extremely comfortable. I've owned quite a few chambray dresses and I have to say I have not found one I like as much as the one I picked out from their collection. The neckline is super flattering and I love that the buttons don't go all the way down the dress!
If you happen to be local, they’ve just opened a store in
Lynnfield, MA so you can see all their wonderful pieces in person! And if you’re not, you can shop their
clothing online, through their site.
I hope you're having a great week!
xo,
Kathryn
