This outfit has a lot of firsts for me in that I've never owned a sweater dress and I haven't worn tights since I was a little girl.  When I was putting together this outfit, my first thought went straight to a skirt and tights and I was honestly super excited for the look.  But if I'm being completely honest, I didn't like any that I tried on.  I tried mini, midi and everything in between and after the sales lady asked me what in the world I was looking for, I decided it was time to switch directions totally.  I walked over to the dress section at Nordstrom and found this beauty on the clearance rack and knew it was meant to be!

The dress has the cutest pom pom details all over and is a heavier knit, so it should stay wrinkle free!  It's a beautiful cream color that will be the perfect base for any color scarf or accessory you want to pair with it, meaning it will be great for Christmas as well!  I don't think I would ever wear this skirt without tights (at least not during the cold weather months), so I'm really glad I found these (on sale!) as well.  I was looking for tights that are totally opaque and even though I was skeptical when I took these out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on!  They're currently 25% off right now and come in some other patters/colors, so I will definitely be stocking up while they're on sale.

Thanksgiving is just a week away and we are definitely ready to relax, have some good food and watch football in the Wesson house.  Let the countdown begin!
