{Prickly Cactus Margarita}

If there's one thing this Texas girl has missed since our move to Boston, it's definitely Mexican food.  I'll be honest with y'all, I've been a little reluctant to try any restaurants up here because let's face it...we're pretty far north of the border.  When I got invited to try Margarita's Mexican restaurant in preparation for National Tequila Day, I was still slightly hesitant, yet excited at the possibility of finding somewhere to get my chips and salsa fix.

Margarita's Mexican did not disappoint.  Every one of their staff were extremely nice and provided some of the best service I've experienced.  We got to try a variety of drinks, appetizers, main dishes, and desserts and everything I tried was absolutely delicious.  It's definitely different than the TexMex that I'm used to, but it was extremely good Mexican food.  The highlights of my meal were the prickly cactus margarita, grilled corn, fish tacos, and sopapillas.  Something else that stood out to me at the restaurant was all the decor, which was full of vibrant color and detail.  As we would come to learn, it was all handmade by artisans in Mexico - down to every single tile!

Needless to say, I think I've found somewhere that will tide me over until I visit Texas again.  I hope you're having a fabulous Friday and Happy National Tequila Day!
