Last week, Pecan and I were on a walk when I saw someone had hung their Easter eggs from a tree in their front yard and it reminded me of Easter at my grandparent's house.  When I was growing up one of my favorite family traditions was my grandparent's Easter egg tree.  We had traditional Easter egg hunts for the majority of my childhood, but once we got older my grandma decided to switch it up a bit.  They had a tree in their backyard with a lot of low lying branches so they decided to hang all our eggs from the tree instead of hiding them on the ground!  We would all take turns going up to pick an egg in search of the one with the best prize in it.  It was such a cute way to do an egg hunt and really made for some great pictures - and we didn't mind at all that the best prize was usually a $20 bill!

Although we're a little old for egg hunts now and Kyle and I will be spending Easter this year in Chicago with friends, I still love picking out my Easter dress to wear to church.  I actually found this dress a while ago at TJ Maxx, one of my favorite places to find designer pieces for less.  I usually shop in store, but when I was writing this post realized how many great finds they have online!

When I was little it was a good year if I would actually wear my Easter dress more than once.  Now, I purposely hunt for a dress that I know I can wear multiple times.  I look for something perfect for spring and summer to weddings, showers and parties and try to stick under the $100 price point so my cost per wear is pretty minimal!

I love lace this time of year because it's such a drastic difference from the heavy fabrics I've worn all winter.  I mentioned above that I found my dress a while ago and unfortunately I couldn't find it online.  I did find a lot of similar lace options that I'll link below, and for those of you who want to see if you can find it yourself the brand is Donna Morgan!

I hope you have a wonderful week and that you find your perfect Easter or spring dress!

xoxo,
Kathryn
