As much as I’ve loved our time here in the Northeast, I’ve found myself missing Texas lately.  I think I can blame this round of homesickness on the weather and the fact that everyone in Texas is already wearing spring dresses and shorts.  I joked with my Mamaw the other day that I didn’t even know if I would be able to wear a dress for Easter, but I think that joke is going to be reality.  The high is supposed to be around 60 for this Sunday, which is much warmer than it has been, but still not warm enough for this girl to rock bare legs.

Lately I’ve been eyeing anything and everything in this bright pink color, but always tell myself that I don’t need it or that it doesn’t go with the things I’ve got in my closet.  That’s because my closet is made up mostly of blues, greys, whites and black.

For the past couple of years I’ve gravitated towards these colors, mainly based off how easily they all pair together.  But when I found a dress in this color, I knew I didn’t necessarily have to make it “work” with my closet, so into my virtual shopping cart it went!  It’s the perfect pop of color I’ve been looking to wear this spring and I can’t wait until the weather decides to let me wear it!

Lush is the brand behind this dress and a lot of other great basics at really affordable prices.  They’re one of my favorite brands at Nordstrom, and are the ones who made this awesome tunic from this past fall, which they’ve recently introduced in a linen blend for summer!  A few of those might be making their way into my closet soon ;)

I hope your week has been going well!  Happy almost Friday!
xoxo,
Kathryn
