Last year, Kyle and I totally failed at taking our "first" Christmas cards, so this year I told him we were going to make up for it!  Kyle doesn't really like to have his picture taken (he would rather be behind the camera), and Pecan absolutely refused to stay still long enough for even one picture as a family but we somehow managed to get a few of Kyle and I!  We looked totally ridiculous walking around the apartment complex in our Christmas outfits, but it actually turned out to be a lot of fun.  I think we've started a little "day after Thanksgiving" tradition!

We take so many casual pictures, and the last really nice pictures we had taken together were our wedding photos, so I decided I wanted to dress up a little more than normal for our Christmas card photos.  I found my skirt while I was madly searching for my Thanksgiving looks, and although it is totally not practical, I fell in love with it the second I put it on.  I found it in the formal wear section at Nordstrom, but can't seem to find it online, so I'm linking some really similar options!

If I can give you one piece of advice about picking out Christmas cards, it's wait until you've already taken your photos before choosing a card style.  I had picked out one that I absolutely loved, but we couldn't seem to take a picture that "fit" the design.  Just have fun while you're taking your pictures and no matter what card design you choose, it's sure to look fabulous!

I ordered our Christmas cards from Vista Print and they're still running a really good sale on all their holiday cards.  But I wouldn't wait too long before ordering, just to make sure you have enough time for them to ship and get them sent out!  If you've got any questions, feel free to leave a comment or email!

Happy Wednesday!
