Kerastase at George the Salon

This past weekend Kyle and I attended our first holiday party of the season with Special Olympics!  It was such a fun night of good food and even better friends for a cause that's very near and dear to my heart.  I honestly can't remember the last time we went to a more formal holiday party, so I wanted to make sure that I looked my absolute best.  Before the party I made my way into town to visit George the Salon for a hair treatment and blowout!

George the Salon is nestled in one of my favorite parts of town overlooking the great shopping, amazing restaurants and gorgeous scenery.  The salon itself is super sleek with comfy chairs and a really friendly and knowledgable staff.  They offer a wide variety of services and there were people there for everything from wedding styles to their weekly blow outs!

My appointment started with Sonya, who applied their 24 Carat Ritual, a relaxing 30 minute conditioning treatment based off your hair type.  I've had deep conditioning treatments done in the past, but nothing even close to this.  It was a multi-step process that left my hair feeling so incredibly soft that a brush could actually be run through my hair without hitting a single tangle.  I can't tell you the last time I've been able to do that with my hair.  It's normally like fighting a battle to get all the tangles out!

After the treatment I was taken to Melanie's station to have my hair blown out.  When she asked me what I would like done I told her that I normally go for curls, but that I was open to whatever she thought would look best.  She applied a pre-blowout oil and got to work with the new Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.  I never thought I could love a hair dryer, but I've definitely got more than a girl crush on this one!

She finished up styling with a 1" curling iron and teasing my roots at the crown of my head.
The end result was super soft waves that has me rethinking my hair styling routine!  I normally use a 1.5"-1" curling wand that gives me tighter curls that take a full day to fall into the loose waves Melanie gave me this past Saturday.

Depending on your hair type, condition and how often you wash your hair, the 24 Carat Ritual could last you a couple of months which is what they said I could expect!  Just for reference, I have fine hair, but a lot of it and my hair was in pretty good condition before the treatment.  I also only wash my hair 2-3x per week depending on my workout schedule.  Of course if your hair is color treated or has a lot of damage, you could actually get one of these treatments every other week - in which case I am totally jealous!

A huge thank you to Sonya, Melanie and everyone at George the Salon for such a wonderful experience!

xoxo,
Kathryn
