Whew!  This week was a bit of a busy one and I am oh so ready for the weekend!  I made the mistake of meal planning about a hundred new recipes to try this week without thinking how busy my week was going to be.  At one point everything in the kitchen was dirty.  I literally had to do dishes just so I could turn around and get them dirty again!  Only 18 more days until I can have that weekend latte, but who’s counting?

I talked earlier this week about my favorite upcoming spring trend, so today I thought I would give a little love to my winter white that is, in 24 days, no longer considered “winter” white!  I’ve got quite a few countdowns going on right now in case you haven’t noticed ;) I’m a firm believer in year round white, and lots of you must be too because there have been so many options with retailers lately.  Right now, Nordstrom has an entire section dedicated to white on white for spring!

Transitioning white from season to season is all about texture.  Unless you’ve got a tropical destination somewhere in your near future, we’re not quite ready to bust out the eyelet dresses and linen pants.  But that favorite pair of white denim paired with a light and airy top?  Totally game if your weather lets you!  I wore this outfit last weekend when we had some beyond gorgeous days, but I know those days are going to be really hit or miss in the next few weeks.

If you’re still stuck in a winter wonderland and short sleeves are not in your foreseeable future, there are definitely a few ways you can start to bring spring into your wardrobe.  Try pops of bright or pastel colors in your accessories, lightening up the colors of your heavier pieces like sweaters and scarves, or even a brightly colored lip!

What are your favorite ways to transition your winter white?
Happy Friday!

xoxo,
Kathryn
